Volkswagen went all the way to the top!

Today was the start of this year's Car Breakfast! During the annual event, we hear from subject matter experts who give us an insight into the current car market, followed by a presentation of The Great Car Index Survey. This year, we filled the hall with eager customers, business partners and colleagues for an eventful morning.

On stage, the experts took a deep dive into the automotive industry and gave us great insight into the challenges that characterize the market today. Later, two outstanding car cases were presented on stage that truly showed the amazing power of Aller Media's universe.

The major car index survey 2022

Finally, Anders. G. Hovde from Kantar presented the major car index survey for 2022. This year, Volkswagen took 1st place and the coveted title of Norway's most attractive car brand, closely followed by Toyota in 2nd place and BMW in 3rd place.

- This category is calculated based on several variables. The index aims to look at the strength of the different brands, based on familiarity, impressions, ratings, preferences and satisfaction. "This year's podium consists of three car brands that have excelled all year, and it was very close at the top," says Hovde.

Several car brands asserted themselves

This year's Car Index also calculated five sub-indices, which is new for this year's survey, and which meant that several car brands stood out in different categories.

Volkswagen - Norway's best known car brand. The ranking shows the car brand that Norwegian car buyers are most familiar with.

Porsche - Norway's most popular brand, and the brand car buyers have the best impression of.

Toyota - Best brand dealer. This brand dealer has the highest satisfaction and preference.

Porsche - Norway's most loyal customers. This is the brand that our own customers prefer to the greatest extent.

BYD - Norway's most famous newcomer, and the brand most new car buyers have heard of.
