Summer chat with Elisabeth!

Elisabeth Lo, Media Manager at Telenor is really looking forward to meeting her colleagues in person again!

Elisabeth Telenor

Have you done any social initiatives lately, now that everything is on Teams?

For us, it's like any other, meeting after meeting on video. But with Teams, we have better collaboration tools than we've had before. We don't meet any less than before, but there's a little less social chatter. We make up for it by ending the week together without a professional agenda.

Looking back over the past year and a half, has anything been positive for the industry?

For the industry, it's clear that many meetings can be streamlined with video. You don't have to spend a lot of time in taxis going back and forth between offices. But when it comes to production and completion of projects, I look forward to more presence.

What new routines and arrangements do you want to take with you when normality returns?

I've got a nice flow through the week and manage my time without many interruptions. The "everyday cabal" simply runs more smoothly in the family. I like that. But my kids want to be home alone more after school, so I'll probably have to go back to the office as soon as the opportunity arises. At Telenor, there will be more flexibility in terms of where you work, so it will probably be a nice balance of some days at home and some days in the office.

"We were one of the many families that got a dog last year, and going out for a little walk during lunch has been nice. So taking a break and going outside to clear your head is different from going to the canteen to eat. But I also miss eating with my colleagues again, so there will have to be more take-away lunches while we go for a walk around Fornebu.

How do you envision the rest of 2021, and what are you most looking forward to?

I hope and believe that over the summer we will quickly find our way back to the new everyday life. It will be good to have time together, where we can work and solve things faster. I've missed a good old-fashioned workshop. It will also be nice to see more colleagues than those with whom we naturally meet digitally, and who we haven't seen much of in the past year.

I think both agencies and customers are looking forward to being together more, even if it won't be as much as before.

What has it been like working with Aller Media during this time when everything has been so different?

It has gone very well. We have good routines for how often we meet, and I must commend Aller for doing a great job on analysis and insight.

Finally, what are your plans for the summer?

Cabin life in Fredrikstad and a trip to northwest Norway. I haven't been there before and I'm looking forward to seeing great nature and beautiful places. We have a permanent "vacation family" where we are four families traveling together, so I know it will be good regardless of weather and weather conditions. I'm looking forward to warm, lazy days and spending time with family and friends. It's been a lot of everyday life and few late nights and parties.
