Se og Hør and Aller Media with a major investment in the reality segment

Bringing Reality Awards to Norway.
- "We have followed the success of the Reality Awards in Denmark and were ready to bring the concept to Norway as early as 2020, but we were stopped by the pandemic. Now it's finally clear that Norway will also have its own party night for the reality industry on September 16," says Jenny Emilie Aas, project manager for the awards ceremony.

On September 16, Se og Hør and Aller Media will host the Reality Awards in H3 Arena at Fornebu. This is the first time such an award ceremony has been held in Norway.

Se og Hør has long seen the enormous interest in reality celebrities among young readers and viewers online. Se og Hør has been successful for six years with its annual Celebrity Gala, where a number of awards are presented - including "Celebrity of the Year". Now the celebrity champions at Se og Hør and seoghør.no are taking the next step and organizing the Reality Awards in Norway for the first time.

Finally ready to bring the concept to Norway

- We have followed the success of the Reality Awards in Denmark and were ready to bring the concept to Norway as early as 2020, but we were stopped by the pandemic. Now it is finally clear that Norway will also have its own party night for the reality industry on September 16. "Unlike other awards shows, we will only focus on Norwegian reality successes such as Paradise, Kompani Lauritzen, 71 degrees north, Farmen, Ex on the Beach, Camp kulinaris and Ikke lov å le på hytta," says project manager Jenny Emilie Aas.

She is confident that TV channels, media houses and production companies will welcome the initiative.

- "We see that both casting and productions are at a very high level in Norway. Reality is great entertainment - and also big business for TV, streaming services, media houses and production companies," says Aas.

During a large-scale party evening at H3 Arena at Fornebu, a number of awards will be presented - including "Scandal of the Year", "Moment of the Year", "Presenter of the Year" and of course "Reality of the Year".

Today, tickets for the show are also available for purchase at Ticketmaster.

Creating a reality universe for young people

- We have plenty of space in H3 Arena and are aiming to sell tickets to young, reality-hungry people who will have the opportunity to party with the biggest stars in the industry. There is already a lot of interest from a number of media outlets that will be covering the event, and the reality participants themselves will be posting a lot on social media. We are therefore confident that potential sponsors and partners will receive a high profile through the Reality Awards," says Jenny Emilie Aas.

Niklas Kokkinn-Thoresen, administrative editor at Se og Hør, believes that interest in reality productions will remain high in the future.

- We see a huge appetite among young readers for reality - and we know that many advertisers, sponsors and partners want to reach this group. Therefore, our goal is to create a reality universe that appeals to young people, and the Reality Awards are an important part of this. We can also promise a great show and party," says Kokkinn-Thoresen.

The editor says that Se og Hør does not plan to sell the TV rights to the show this year, but will instead publish material on its own channels.

- And maybe someone will create their own reality series about the celebrities' path to the Reality Awards," says Niklas Kokkinn-Thoresen with a smile.
