- This is beyond belief! It's obvious that there is a need for quality journalism about literature on digital platforms," says Sigrid Hvidsten, cultural editor at Dagbladet.

Dagbladet BOK was launched on December 1, 2021 with the slogan "for those who love to read". It is a niche investment in book material, including a dedicated website and a weekly newsletter. During the three months of Dagbladet BOK, literary journalism in Dagbladet has experienced a growth of 200 percent compared to the same period last year. Last week, Dagbladet BOK topped five million page views.

- It is important for us to reach many people with our book material. With the tabloid newspaper Dagbladet , we have a unique opportunity to reach a wide audience, even with slightly narrower content. We see that we have many stories that are very, very well read, and this also applies to classic literary criticism," says Hvidsten.

She is also pleased with the development of the Dagbladet BOK newsletter.

- The aim of the newsletter is to give readers a weekly update on what's happening in the world of literature. What are people talking about? Not everything will be news, but it's still interesting to our readers and we help them navigate the flow of information about literature. And our readers want that. They sign up for the newsletter, and they give us a lot of nice and constructive feedback," says Hvidsten.

Dagbladet BOK cultivates literature. And the reader. Rannveig Korneliussen, Head of Books at Dagbladet, is particularly keen to cultivate relationships with readers.

- Dagbladet BOK wants to create closeness to the reader, to those who love to read about reading. We take them into a space where they can easily find their way around our literary universe," says Rannveig Korneliussen.
