Anne-Kat. Hærland won the Honorary Award

Every year, the Honorary Award is presented to honor people and programs for long service in the TV industry. During this weekend's award ceremony, it was none other than comedian and our colleague in the commercial department Anne-Kat. Hærland who took home the prestigious award.

- I'll stick to saying thank you very, very much," said a teary-eyed and shy Anne-Kat. as she stood on stage, after being praised by industry colleagues and receiving cheers and applause from the audience.

Hærland has many years of experience in TV and media and is perhaps best known from the NRK program "Nytt på nytt", where she was a regular participant from 1999 to 2007. But Anne-Kat's TV career started back in 1993, as a sound technician at NRK. Since then, she has made her mark on the TV industry in Norway.

- It's very big. It makes me happy, and I didn't want to joke about it. You often joke when you're unsure, but I didn't feel there was a time and place for it, because I was just happy, and isn't it better to say it then than to just joke it away," she told Dagbladet after the win.

Earlier this year, we announced that Anne-Kat. started a new job with us in the commercial department at Aller Media. Here she is working full time on the development of the Aller Social Club podcast and strategy.
