Every year, Norwegians spend NOK 94 billion on renovating their houses and cabins. Aller Social Club has now launched an interior design podcast, together with Tone Kroken and KK journalist Benedicte Wessel-Holst. Together they share their expert tips and interior design hacks in the new podcast "Interiørrådet"
- Both Tone and Benedicte are smart, charming and articulate ladies. Benedicte, a razor-sharp journalist with experience from radio, TV and magazines, and Tone, one of Norway's best-known interior designers. Together they will create useful and good content with interior help and styling tips," says Hillevi Forsman, CEO of Aller Social Club.
Tone is an exuberant and creative aesthete with a passion for making herself and others look good.
- "I started redecorating my home as a child," says Tone. Since then, her home has always been changing and moving, and her passion for creating good surroundings for herself and others has become her career path.
During more than twenty years in the industry, she has styled a number of celebrity homes and done countless interior reports in KK and other magazines at home and abroad. It was in the KK universe that Tone got to know Benedicte, who is now a journalist.
- I'm more of an avid interior design enthusiast and over the years I've learned a lot from Tone, and of course I've also relied on her for advice for my own home. The thing about Tone is that she has such a "magic touch". That's what I want to learn, and what I think others want to learn too," says Benedicte.
Tone says that the idea of doing an interior podcast with Benedicte came about because the number of questions in her Instagram inbox eventually became so many that it was difficult to answer them all.
- "People wonder about everything from color choices, sofa models and how to make budget and environmentally friendly choices when renovating," says Tone.
- Everyone also wonders what will be nice, and what might be a bit wrong too. Changing something at home, whether big or small, is something most Norwegians are always working on," Benedicte adds.
When asked how they will convey such a visual theme in a podcast, Tone replies that there is a clear plan for exactly that. Key information about what they talk about in the podcast will be posted on their Instagram page, @interior_raadet. They hope that their followers will choose to follow them on both platforms.
- We want to be both useful and inspiring! My task is to expose Tone to all the "industry secrets" she holds, and of course get her golden tips on how we ordinary people can succeed in creating the home of our dreams," says Benedicte
A new episode of "Interiørrådet" is released every Wednesday and can be found wherever podcasts are available.
