Today, the new readership figures for the third quarter of 2022 were released by the Norwegian Association of Media Companies (MBL). The figures once again show that Dagbladet is growing rapidly. Last quarter, Dagbladet increased by 123,000 more readers digitally compared to the corresponding quarter the previous year.
Dagbladet is not the website that increases the most compared to last year this quarter. But looking at the year as a whole (the first three quarters of the year compared to the same period last year), Dagbladet is the online newspaper in Norway with the most new readers so far in 2022 according to MBL. Dagbladet now reaches 1,340,000 daily digital readers.
- The development we've seen over time now is very interesting. Dagbladet wants to provide readers with the most engaging journalism, whether it's in updates, entertainment or information. The numbers so far in 2022 show that we are succeeding in this. We are both humbled and grateful for these results," says Alexandra Beverfjord, Editor-in-Chief of Dagbladet.
Dagbladet states that the greatest growth is in the news category.
- Over several years, we have built up a powerful and highly skilled news organization. This year we have devoted considerable resources to covering the war and its humanitarian, social, political and economic consequences. This has been our main priority this year," says Beverfjord.
Dagbladet is currently building a new newsroom to be able to deliver even better breaking news in the future.
Dagbladet has also seen strong growth in the number of daily page views, delivering between 16 and 17 million page views daily. Both Dagbladet TV and the websites Børsen and DinSide have shown strong growth over the past year.
- Dagbladet operates in a very wide range. The heart of the newspaper is the news operation, but Dagbladet also encompasses much more. Everything from consumer affairs to politics and analysis, from celebrity news and sports to newsletters for literature enthusiasts. Different readers and viewers are interested in different things. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible with our journalism," says Beverfjord.
