This week we invited customers, agencies and partners to the annual fall launch at Latter. This year, the editors and directors of some of Aller Media's biggest brands took the stage and gave the audience insight into what they can expect from the house this fall.
KK - "Magazine of the Year" and a unique piece of women's history
Editor-in-Chief Ingeborg Heldal talks about the continuous focus on diversity and sustainability, and the digital transformation of the KK universe. The initiative has given the women's magazine a unique position in Norway's media landscape, and was also awarded the title "Magazine of the Year" earlier this year. Read more about it here.
- "KK is quite simply a unique piece of women's history, and even though we will soon be celebrating 150 years in the Norwegian market, we are far from being an old aunt. We have our foot firmly on the gas pedal for the future," says Heldal.
KK continues to work on digital growth, and this fall they will be naming "Best Dressed of the Year" and "Women of the Year". Heldal also reveals that she will be accompanied by a documentary team this fall, and that at the end of October we will be able to see more of what everyday life is like at KK on TV.
Aller TV and Aller Social Club strengthen the entertainment segment with several concepts
Before the summer, Aller Media had increased TV viewing from 3 million a month to over 20 million a month. This fall, we can look forward to TV concepts such as "Nødt eller sannhet?", "Bjuda på" and a relaunch of "Embla vet best". These will help build Norway's largest web TV inventory.
Anne-Kat. Hærland told us about Aller Social Club's podcast initiative. This fall, we can look forward to a number of podcast launches, including one from Hærland herself. Here she takes us through the 90s year by year in step with her life.
Dagbladet strengthens position as a national newspaper
Dagbladet is a popular journalistic newspaper that operates in a very wide range, with both heavy and light material side by side - hard-hitting revelations and wild entertainment. The universe also includes Norway's largest consumer website, DinSide. This year they launched the house and home category, which will be further developed in the coming year.
Dagbladet has recently launched two local editions in Bergen and Trondheim - creating a local presence and strengthening its position as a national newspaper.
- "We believe in a product aimed at the mass market and we have chosen to focus on an advertising-based model. Out in rural Norway, all the newspapers have content behind a paywall - we want to challenge that," says Alexandra Beverfjod, editor-in-chief of Dagbladet.
Reality Awards and Aller X
Editor-in-Chief of Se og Hør, Ulf Andre Andersen, talked about celebrity journalism and the Reality Awards - a major investment in the reality segment. For six years, they have had success with their annual Celebrity Gala, where a number of awards are presented - including "Celebrity of the Year". Now the celebrity stars are taking it one step further and organizing the Reality Awards in Norway for the first time. Read more about it here.
Jan Thoresen, CEO of the innovation company Aller X, presented the new sites coming this fall. Today it consists of Elbil24, Kode24 and Sol.
- We started Aller X to work even more on innovation and growth. We will build on the successes we already have and create more events at Kode24 and Elbil24. We will launch new brands and perhaps buy some that are already out there. Aller X is the small challenger in our large media house," says Thoresen.
