This is the Aller Best 2024 jury

Here are the three industry veterans who will be involved in selecting this year's best cases in Aller Media.
Aller Best jury 2024

The starting shot for Aller Best 2024 has been fired. This year's jury is now ready!

In Aller Best, Aller Media's own case competition, we highlight the good ideas, the clever minds, the creative solutions and the results that follow. The competition is also a great source of inspiration and important learning - for both us and our partners.

Each year, the final cases are assessed and rewarded by a competent jury, consisting of a selection of internal Aller Media employees and three external people with a clear footprint in the industry.

Jury leader, Commercial Director at Aller Media Chris Tallerås Steen, is practically tapping her toes when she talks about how much she is looking forward to working with this year's external jury.

- We are so pleased to have this jury for Aller Best 2024! Here we have a group of extremely competent, forward-thinking professionals who will contribute their excellent professional input and insights to this year's discussions. A warm welcome to Lena, Sverre and Sten," says Tallerås Steen.

Yes, because this year's jury includes:

  • Sverre Vinje, Carat
  • Sten Braathen, EssenceMediacom
  • Lena Sarset, OMD

Sverre Vinje, Customer Director at Carat

- You were also with us last year, Sverre. What do you think and hope we'll see more of in this year's competition?

- I found it very exciting to see AI-generated communication, creative use of sponsorships and, not least, good use of content production in 2023. The expectation for 2024 is that we are at least as good at challenging formats, content and placements in a way that creates unique and smart solutions that ensure effective communication.

- What does it take to create a winning case?

- You need to have the standard elements in place with clear goals and insights, a wise strategy, good execution and results that show achievement of goals. In addition, you need to show that the case means something to the people working on it. Only then can you create a real winning case.

Lena Sarset, Business Director at OMD

- What are you looking forward to as a new jury member and supervisor at Aller Best?

- The combination of working in the field and with great people is what makes it so much fun to be asked to be a jury member for Alle Best. A combo of the best of both worlds. It's also extra fun to be on the same jury as Sverre and Sten - because there will definitely be competition between us too!

- What is so special about "Aller Best"?

- We are an industry that loves competitions and prizes, and over the years I have been involved, many competitions have been launched - but not all of them have managed to establish themselves in terms of engagement or significance. Aller Best has over time become both well established and grown in importance. Even though it is an "internal competition", it has become a great honor to win for agencies and customers as well. Well done!

Sten Braathen, Strategy Director at EssenceMediacom

- What do you hope to see in Aller Best 2024?

- New, exciting ways Aller Media helps advertisers reach and engage target audiences to drive business results. Lots of initiative and creativity is at the top of my wish list.

- What is your best advice for case writers?

- If you have a good story, you have a case. If you can document it and tell it in an engaging way - well, then youmight just be the best this year!

We can't wait to see who wins the jury's favor, heads and hearts - and walks away with this year's win.
