- Everyone has a book that sits in their body and heart, and that has influenced them in life. It can be anything from Lindgren to Dostoyevsky. People become extremely passionate when they talk about the books they love, and they show pages we may not have seen before," says Sigrid Hvidsten.

"Lettlest" is the name of the new podcast being released today. Listeners will hear famous people talk about books that have made an impression on them. The host is Dagbladet's Sigrid Hvidsten, and the interviewees are the entire spectrum of Norwegian celebrities, from authors to reality TV celebrities.

- "The world of books is a fantastic arena to talk about everything that is close to us. There will be famous guests from all parts of society - and everyone has their own unique story to tell," says Hvidsten.

Can you offer any surprises?
- Oh, yes. I'm often surprised when people start talking about their favorite books. It's often something completely different from what you might expect. I can almost promise that listeners will be surprised. At least I have been, several times," says Hvidsten.

- And besides, books bring out the big emotions. These are the big things in life: Life-changing events, longing, loss, love - and not least relationships with loved ones - boyfriends, siblings, parents," says Hvidsten.

What does Jo Nesbø read? Which books inspired him to write? That's the topic of the first podcast episode. Among other things, the crime king talks about why there will never be an autobiography or band biography with Di Derre.

Sigrid Hvidsten says that the aim of the podcast is to talk about books in an interesting but accessible way. She calls the innovation "a broad and popular podcast".

- We will talk about all kinds of books and how they affect us, and we will talk to all kinds of people about how books have affected them," says Hvidsten.

The episodes will last around half an hour - with weekly releases.

- Who is your dream guest? You can invite here and now!
- King Harald. He has lived a long and complex life. It would be very exciting to hear him talk about the books that have meant the most to him in his life.

"Lettlest" is out now - where you listen to podcasts!
