Every year, KK marks the Pink Ribbon campaign, and this year they did so in collaboration with the Norwegian Cancer Society. The goal of the Pink Ribbon campaign is to raise awareness, show solidarity and spread knowledge and information about breast cancer. The theme for this year's campaign is "Early detection saves lives", and together with Pink Ribbon, KK wants more people to get regular check-ups so that any diagnosis can be detected at an early stage and treated with a good prognosis.

- This issue of KK is very special! Not just because it's incredibly beautiful with a pink cover and gorgeous Tuva Fellman, but because the entire issue is pink. Pink in the sense that we put extra focus on breast cancer and that it's the month of the Pink Ribbon campaign," says Ingeborg Heldal, editor-in-chief of KK.

Real stories about real women

Historically, the Norwegian Cancer Society has had a very good collaboration with KK. Cancer affects many women, whether it is a diagnosis you get yourself or someone close to you is diagnosed. 1 in 12 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and it is the most common form of cancer among Norwegian women.

- In Norway, no one has women's health higher on the agenda than KK. We are more concerned about it and write more about it than others, as we feel a responsibility to the target group we both represent and reach. KK wants to be a voice for Norwegian women, especially those who are unable to be a voice for themselves. This is an important part of our social mission," says Ingeborg.

- Less is written and researched about "women's ailments", which is why we greatly value the collaboration we have had with the Norwegian Cancer Society and Pink Ribbon.

KK is by far Norway's largest gathering place for women and is committed to telling real stories about real women. They offer a broad and strong universe that always puts women in focus, and they will continue to do so.
