Millions of kroner are being pumped into the Norwegian podcast market. Competition is intensifying between the players. Podcast consumption is increasing, and new players are establishing themselves. In this talk, you will gain insight into the industry's latest developments, listener trends in Europe and insight into the competitive landscape between the podcast players.
Lina Tandberg Martens is Head of Content at Podimo, and chair of the board of the newly established industry association for podcasts, Norsk podkastforening. She has previously worked on commercializing the podcasts of Schibsted's media house, and was chair of the board of Podtoppen.
Since I discovered podcasting in 2016, it has been my favorite thing in the world. Podcasts are a sanctuary for me, a place where I'm entertained and updated every single day. The big pod report was just released, and this shows that podcasting is growing. More and more people are discovering the medium and people are loyal to their favorites! Let's take care of the format and not least the listeners in the future. It doesn't hurt that we think twice when designing content and, not least, advertising for podcasts. What should we be thinking about? And how do we ensure good content, regardless of whether it's a regular podcast, commercial or behind a paywall? Thomas is Head of Talent at ADLINK and has been involved in building and developing ADLINK's podcast initiative. He also sits on the steering committee of the Norwegian Podcast Association and Podtoppen.
