- This is an offer for everyone who loves to read," says Sigrid Hvidsten, cultural editor at Dagbladet.
When Dagbladet was launched in 1869, it didn't take long for authors to sign up. The newspaper has a long tradition of providing readers with quality information about literature. Every year, it publishes hundreds of book reviews, intimate and intelligent author interviews, in-depth analyses, argumentative debate articles and tabloid news stories about what's happening in literary Norway. Now Dagbladet's rich literary coverage is being taken one step further. On December 1, the website Dagbladetbok.no will be launched, as well as the newsletter Dagbladet BOK.
- The website will be a warm and calm universe where readers can immerse themselves in powerful stories, important book news, intimate interviews and wise book reviews," says Hvidsten.
The website will bring together all of Dagbladet's book material, from the culture department's literary reviews, via the magazine's portrait interviews, to the editorial department's commentary articles on current political biographies.
At the same time as the website, the newsletter "Dagbladet BOK" is also launched.
- The aim of the newsletter is to give readers a weekly update on what's happening on the book front: What's happened, what's been read and what people are talking about. This is not a boring rss feed of old Dagbladet stuff. This is a handwritten newsletter with the ambition of becoming indispensable for those who are interested in books," says Hvidsten.
The newsletter "Dagbladet BOK" will be sent out every Friday and give readers a quick update on what is happening in Norwegian and international literary life. The sender will be either Literature Manager Rannveig Korneliussen or Culture Editor Sigrid Hvidsten.
- "The newsletter will be informative and inspiring. In addition, it will be a quiet way into Dagbladet's rich book universe," says Hvidsten.
