Dagbladet has had significant growth in readership for several years. Today, MBL's quarterly figures for Q2 2022 are presented. The figures show that Dagbladet now has 1,291,340 daily digital readers, which is an increase of 55,711 daily readers compared to the same period last year. On mobile, the newspaper increased by 90,600 daily readers compared to last year. This means that the newspaper is once again growing the most among news websites in Norway.

- The latest readership figures show that Dagbladet has developed well over the past year. The media house increased its daily digital coverage by 56,000 people compared with the same period last year. This means that more and more people are reading, watching or listening to content from Dagbladet and using content services such as Børsen and DinSide," says Bente Håvimb, Head of Insight and Analysis at MBL.

- "It's also nice to see that Dagbladet is growing most on mobile, where the majority of news consumption by the Norwegian population now takes place. Dagblad's digital investment seems to be having an effect in the market, and we look forward to following the development further," says Håvimb.

Amazing results

Editor-in-chief Alexandra Beverfjord of Dagbladet is delighted with the latest figures.

- "These are fantastic results. For the second quarter in a row, Dagbladet is the news website in Norway with the highest growth. This is strong feedback from readers and viewers that what we do works. We have a fantastically talented editorial team, which includes many of the country's very best journalists and editors. Our success is above all due to the fabulous job they do," says editor-in-chief Alexandra Beverfjord.

Newspaper for the people

The biggest growth is particularly in the news area Dagbladet .

-"These are once again fabulous numbers. We are on 24 hours a day to provide our users with the latest news, as well as exclusive stories and, of course, entertainment. Our focus on breaking news with text and TV has paid off," says news editor Frode Hansen.

In the fall, the newspaper established local offices and dedicated websites for Bergen and Trondheim.

- "We are committed to creating a newspaper for the entire population, not just parts of it. That's why we opened local offices in Bergen and Trondheim this fall to bring in even more stories and voices from other parts of the country," says Hansen.
