Famous guests, KK friends and partners flocked to the red carpet at the Grand Hotel, when KK invited to the 150th anniversary celebration. These ladies walked away with the awards for "Women of the Year".

Sequins, feathers and glitter! The glamor factor was high at the Grand Hotel, when Ingeborg Heldal and KK invited to a grand celebration of KK's 150th anniversary. Heldal, who was the evening's conference host and hostess, was in a state of euphoria after the event, which from next year will become a regular event called the KK gala.

- It was a fantastic evening, and I am so happy that so many wanted to come and celebrate "The grand old lady", which KK is. I don't think I've ever seen so many gorgeous dresses in one place before – sequins, train, feathers and gorgeous sarees!

Celebrity-heavy guest list

The evening brought together a number of well-known women from various fields, including former cover profiles, collaborators, politicians, artists and actors.
The program offered musical highlights with performances from, among others, Mari Boine, Randi Oline and Maria Mena. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the presentation of KK's own awards - to strong and inspiring women:

  • This year's fighter, sponsored by Raymond Weil, was police officer Jasmina Holten, an expert on honor killings and known from, among other things, the NRK series Brennpunkt where honor killings were a theme.
  • This year's team builder, sponsored by Kerastase, was handball player Stine Oftedahl Dahmke.
  • This year's co-sister, sponsored by Porsche, was sexologist and presenter Tuva Fellman.
  • This year's role models, sponsored by Lancôme, were the actors and mother/daughter duo Pia and Sofia Tjelta.
  • This year's honorary award went to artist Mari Boine.

- It is wonderful to be able to honor so many strong, unique and wonderful women in one evening. I am proud of the breadth the award winners represent, said Heldal. The celebration, which was also given a lot of attention in Dagsrevyen on the same day, marked not only KK's role as a central voice in Norwegian women's lives, but also the magazine's position in Norway over 150 years.
